RATES & INSURANCE
Reclaim Therapy is Out of Network With Insurance Companies
This means that we don’t accept insurance directly, but we can provide you everything that you need to utilize out of network benefits. This means that you could still be eligible to receive reimbursement for a portion (often 60%-80%) of session costs. We accept HSA/FSA funds and we are VCAP Providers.

Because our therapists are specialty providers and offer care that’s based in evidence and results, not dictated by third party companies, we do not accept insurance.
If you have mental health insurance benefits you may be eligible to submit a claim for reimbursement of out-of-network services.
Payment in full is due at time of service and upon your request we will provide you with a statement, referred to as a superbill, for you to submit for reimbursement to your insurance provider.
We suggest that you contact your insurance company to ask questions about out of network coverage for your specific insurance plan.

It’s up to you!
While we understand that people find us while looking for specialized therapy for body image, eating disorders and trauma, we want you to use the your time in counseling in a way that feels good and productive for you. You are the expert on you and we uphold that more than any intervention or treatment model. We consider ourselves the people walking beside you, nudging you along when you need it, offering you different pathways, challenges or insights to help you in your process.
In therapy you might talk about your food and body concerns, your behaviors, or your past. Or, how you are coping and living your life in the present and what you’re hoping for in the future. Sometimes counseling in Pennsylvania will be an opportunity for you to vent and process everyday stresses, other times it might feel like a deep dive into your inner world.
Many sessions there may not be much talking at all. Something that makes our practice different is that we lean on somatic modalities, which is a fancy way to say that we work with what is coming up for you in your body. We know that trauma lives in the body, and in order to heal, we need to learn to get out of our minds and allow our bodies to complete survival responses that didn’t have a chance to complete when trauma was experienced. Want more information on somatic therapy? Head here.
We hope to provide you with new tools and opportunities to practice feeling into your emotional world (as you’re ready). We also want to challenge difficult urges and behaviors. Ultimately, we want to begin to help you treat yourself with kindness, respect and compassion.

Therapy sessions typically last approximately 50 minutes.
We encourage people who are starting counseling to start by coming weekly if they are able to. This is because it takes time to get to know and start to build a trusting relationship with your therapist. We have also seen that when it comes to therapy for eating disorders, body image and trauma, the more frequently we meet, the more progress people tend to make. We want you to know that online therapy can be hard work inside and outside of sessions.
If you are unable to come to therapy weekly, feel free to discuss biweekly sessions with your therapist or on your free consultation call. We will do our best to work with you and promise that we will be honest about efficacy of biweekly sessions based on what you are looking for support around.
-
Online counseling takes place through a secure internet platform. Think Skype, but a platform that has the capability to keep all of your information confidential.

This is a great question! We identify as non-diet, HAES professionals. What this means is that we do not focus on intentional weight loss, but instead behaviors that are health promoting for both the mind and the body.
Studies continue to show the harms of dieting- primarily being the greatest predictor of an eating disorder, weight cycling, low self-esteem, depression and anxiety.
Our approach to treating disordered eating and body image respects and upholds the body exactly how it is, and hopes to help our clients grieve the "ideal" body, divest from harmful narratives about bodies, and increase agency and access to health promoting behaviors regardless of weight or size.
We believe that all bodies deserve the right to exist without stigma and discrimination in this world. We hope to help our clients learn how to live compassionately in the body. Additionally, we want to help while you begin taking care of it to the best of their ability.
